How is the SKOUT Compact different from the EVO?
The Compact is the compact version of the EVO platform. It has a more extensively milled upper chassis, a shortened 17 inch barrel system, a lightweight optics rail, a simplified air valve system and a 300cc compact tank, for a base build of about 8 lb.
What calibers does the Compact come in?
Standard 17 inch Compact barrels come in .177, .22, .25 and .30 (the Compact is not offered in .357). Longer upgrade barrels are available: Lothar Walther polygonal barrels in .22, .25 and .30, and a TJ hammer-forged .30. See the Barrels page for details.
Can the SKOUT Compact shoot slugs?
Yes, with the right barrel. The standard .22 (1:15.75 twist) and .30 Compact barrels, and the Lothar Walther .22 upgrade, are listed for pellets and slugs. The other Compact barrels are listed for pellets. The SKOUT ammo chart shows tested loads.
How much does the SKOUT Compact weigh?
The base build of the Compact is about 8 lb.
Can I choose colors on the Compact?
Yes. Accent colors are available when you order. They are made in limited quantities.
