Description
The Krypton is Air Venturi’s shop compressor: internally water-cooled, with an upgraded moisture filter for cleaner, drier air and about 15% faster fills than the previous model. It fills PCP airguns, paintball tanks and SCUBA bottles to 4500 psi and shuts itself off at your set pressure.
SKOUT recommends it for
Filling large carbon storage tanks and SCUBA bottles at home, in the shop or at a club, then filling your rifles from the tank. The right choice for several shooters, several rifles, or anyone who wants a full tank on the bench. At 91 lb it stays put; for range and field fills pair it with a Nano or RovAir.

How to fill a tank
- Fill the cooling reservoir with about 5 quarts of water (distilled recommended), with the water drain closed.
- Plug into a standard 120V three-prong outlet. It runs at about 15 A (20 A max), so use a circuit that isn’t shared with other heavy loads.
- Set your target pressure on the gauge (never above 4500 psi).
- Close the pressure-release (bleed) valve.
- Connect the fill hose to the tank. For a hose that also ends in a female quick-disconnect, use the included male-to-male adapter.
- Empty tank: open the tank valve now. Tank already holding pressure: keep the tank valve closed, start the compressor, and open the tank valve only when the hose pressure is within about 300 psi of the pressure already in the tank.
- Turn the cooling system on, then turn the compressor on.
- Stay with the compressor and the tank for the whole fill.
- The compressor stops at your set pressure. Turn the compressor switch off.
- Close the tank valve first, then open the pressure-release valve to bleed the line. (Filling a rifle directly: just bleed the line.)
- When the gauge reads 0, disconnect the hose, then turn the cooling system off.
Care and safety
- First use: run it for 10 minutes with nothing connected, opening the bleed valve now and then, then let it cool before your first fill.
- Air filter: Air Venturi recommends replacing it every 25 hours of use.
- Temperature: normal running temperature should never exceed 95 °C. It shuts off automatically above that; if it doesn’t, turn it off right away.
- Never set the auto shut-off above 4500 psi, and only fill tanks within their rated pressure and hydro-test date.

Which compressor is right for you?
| Nomad Nano | Smallest and lightest (15 lb). Tops off your rifle at the range, in the truck or at the bench. One rifle, quick fills. |
|---|---|
| RovAir | The middle size (19 lb). Home and field fills for one or two rifles, including your rifle’s own bottle. Dual-fan cooled. |
| Krypton | The big one (91 lb, water-cooled). Shop or club compressor that fills large carbon storage tanks and SCUBA bottles, which then fill your rifles. |
